Qatarization is a strategic initiative by the Government of Qatar to provide employment for its citizens in the private and public sectors. As one of the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, Qatarization targets positions that are integral to the business plans of private and public-sector entities. The objective is to provide 50 percent or more of Qatari citizens with meaningful permanent employment.

In order to help achieve this, Qatar Foundation (QF) is fully dedicated to providing appropriate job opportunities for Qatari nationals, while simultaneously fostering younger Qataris in order that they too may eventually benefit from this pioneering initiative.

QF Human Resources Talent Sourcing and Development Directorate performs the fundamental role of helping to achieve the Qatarization target by identifying and nurturing the talents of Qatari nationals.

For all permanent positions, the QF recruitment department ensures that applications from candidates who have the appropriate potential are received by the hiring department for review and comment. For this, it is essential that candidates provide resumes and/or CVs that fully demonstrate their skills and experience.
Qatari nationals may complete the application below and attach their detailed resumes and/or CVs, which will be assessed for current and future employment requirements.

In addition to the recruitment of Qatari nationals, QF Human Resources Talent Sourcing and Directorate also performs the following functions in support of Qatarization:

Succession Planning

Succession planning identifies and develops internal candidates who have the potential to fill key leadership positions in the company. This increases the availability of experienced and capable Qatari nationals who are prepared to assume these essential roles as they become available. The process also creates a leadership pipeline that contributes to Qatarization.

All employees have a Career Development Plan (CDP), which lists short- and long-term goals relating to their current and future employment. The CDP also includes a planned sequence of formal and informal work experience that helps employees to achieve their goals. These goals are linked to each employee's strengths and potential. CDPs help employees to develop their skills and increase their knowledge; to develop themselves and further their careers; and to recognize how these development needs may be met.

The CDPs also help employees set realistic expectations for career growth by suggesting time frames for important milestones, including promotions, and identifying areas that employees themselves must develop before they become eligible for their next career moves.

We are fully committed to training and developing our people, because we strongly believe that ‘people growth’ is crucial to our expansion and success. QF’s mission is to provide all employees and trainees with career-development opportunities through a variety of training courses, such as in-house and external training and e-learning sessions, so that all individuals may increase their contributions to QF.

In-house courses are designed to deliver the highest-quality training and learning opportunities to QF staff and trainees. With thousands of participants every year, in-house training contributes to the development of our staff and trainees and helps QF to achieve its goals, which include service to the community.

In addition to providing a variety of training opportunities, we also collaborate with ictQatar to offer our staff and trainees a broad range of e-learning courses and blended learning services. These promote an e-learning culture within QF and the community that reflect and build on key trends in the global learning environment.

The sponsored scholarship program focuses on QF’s long-term employment needs. At present, sponsored trainees are studying at the QF branch campuses and at various universities here in Qatar and overseas, including those in the UK, US, France, Germany and Australia.
